Meet Our Dental Team in Samford

"I graduated from Otago University in Dunedin New Zealand in 1993 and moved to Australia for my first position in NSW the following year. A year later I moved to Queensland for my second position which brought me in contact with Progressive Dentistry.

During the course of 25 years of working in dentistry, and focusing primarily on aesthetics, I have seen some amazing results helping my patients regain their smile, confidence and in some cases changing their lives completely. 

New approaches in orthodontic care allow us to help young patients get a better start to the growth pattern of their teeth and jaw during the early stages in life. Not only does this reduce or sometimes eliminate problems with crowded teeth but also helps open up the airways for better health and creates more attractive skeletal and facial features in the long run.

A good portion of what we do is to help patients feel good about their smile and be confident in their social interactions. The myriad treatment options offered by Cosmetic and Implant dentistry allow us achieve this aim. Kelly has been part of the Dental Distinction family as our Practice Manager for the last 20 years and started as a Dental Assistant when she was 17. Since then Kelly has become an invaluable member and is responsible for the clinic, staff and its day to day running. She genuinely loves her patients and will go above and beyond for them. Kelly likes to make the most of her weekends, spending time with her husband, 2 sons and dog and her friends and family, going to the gym and reading. If you follow our Facebook page you will see that Kelly is behind all the dog and animal loving posts. She loves her animals! When you call, or you first come in to see us, it’ll be her big and friendly smile you will usually see first.

Abby joined the Dental Distinction team in August 2018 and has been a wonderful addition to the clinic. Her lovely and positive attitude helps make the surgery environment a relaxed one. You will usually find Abby running between rooms making sure the surgeries are set up for each patient for a smooth process. Abby loves to spend her weekends catching up and socialising with her friends and partner whether it be camping or going to the beach. Abby is not adverse to a new Netflix series either!
