Financial Information for Our Services

General Information

Following your initial examination appointment with us, we will provide for you a detailed treatment outline with the costs and time frames involved throughout. If necessary, we will give you several treatment options so you can choose the plan that suits your needs and budget best. We will always run through with you the treatment details and give you the chance to ask us any questions you may have before treatment is commenced.

Due to the nature of our services, it is very difficult to give an accurate quote for treatment prior to the initial consultation appointment. In some cases, we can give you fee estimates over the phone, but they will only be a rough guide and may change once your specific situation has been assessed by Dr Golbarani.

Payment is required on the day of your appointment unless prior arrangements have been made with our manager. There are payment plans available for Orthodontic and Invisalign treatment.

Our clinic usually offers a no gap payment on all check up and cleans providing you have appropriate dental extras with your Private Health. Our Facebook page usually offers special promotions as well.

We are a dedicated Preferred Provider for Medibank Private members and also work in conjunction with the HCF Hygiene Preferred Program. In recent times we have joined the Smile.com.au team as a Preferred Provider. Smile.com.au are associated with Defence Health, Australian Unity, GMHBA and Peoplecare just to name a few. Head to the Smile.com.au page to see how they can help you.

For your convenience, we have HICAPS onsite so you are able to make a claim at the time of your appointment and we accept the following payment methods of Cash, Cheques and Eftpos for all major cards (Eg: Amex, Visa, MasterCard).

Government (Medicare) Child Dental Benefit Scheme

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a $2.7 billion measure that will provide a Commonwealth funded capped benefit entitlement for basic dental services for children.

Around 3.4 million children aged 2-17 in families who meet a means test will be eligible for benefits each year. This means test will be the same as the previous Medicare Teen Dental Plan (MTDP), which requires receipt of Family Tax Benefit Part A or other certain government payments.

What Treatment is Included in the Program?

Services for basic dental treatment, such as check-ups, x-rays, fillings and extractions will be included in the CDBS. These treatments will be bulk-billed to Medicare on the day of your appointment. High end services, such as orthodontic treatment are not included. The total benefit entitlement will be capped at $1000 per child over a two year period, however eligibility will need to be determined. We suggest that you check with Medicare prior to your appointment that you are still eligible for bulk-billed dental treatment.

How Do I Know if I am Eligible for the CDBS?

The Australian Government wrote to eligible children or their families in early 2014 to confirm eligibility. Each 2 year period you will receive notification from Centrelink about your eligibility either via mail or the My Gov App.

Eligibility is determined each calendar year, however funds are valid for two consecutive calendar years. A child is eligible if they are aged 2 to 17 years for at least 1 day of the calendar year, are eligible for Medicare and are either part of a family receiving Family Tax Benefit Part A or one of the following Australian Government payments:
  • Youth Allowance
  • ABSTUDY
  • Disability Support Pension
  • Parenting Payment
  • Special Benefit
  • Carer Payment
  • Double Orphan Pension
  • Veterans Children Education Scheme, if the child is 16 or over
  • Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act Education and Training Scheme, if the child is 16 or over.
You should ensure that your details are up to date if you think you or your child may be eligible. To update your details with Medicare phone the patient helpline on 132 011.
